Offline OCR screenshot scanning on iPhone
Bloop reads and organizes screenshots on your device. No screenshot content is uploaded for analysis.
OCR means optical character recognition. Bloop uses Apple's on-device text recognition to turn visible screenshot text into searchable cards, then applies fixed local rules to choose from built-in categories and suggest practical actions.
What local processing does
Local processing is useful for:
- reading text from screenshots without a network connection;
- making screenshots easier to search by visible words;
- sorting screenshots into built-in categories;
- suggesting editable calendar, reminder, note, link, and map actions when local rules find relevant text.
Thirty days free, then one subscription
A new install can use local processing free for 30 days. After the trial, the user chooses a monthly or yearly App Store subscription. Both plans unlock the same on-device features; there are no credits and no per-screenshot charge.
What works offline
Scanning, categorization, search, and saved results work offline during the trial or with an active cached subscription entitlement. An internet connection is needed only to purchase, renew, or restore a subscription through Apple.
