Security for a screenshot organizer is about product choices: what stays on the device, what is stored, which permissions are requested, and whether important actions stay editable after Bloop creates them.
Screenshot images stay on device in the launch build
Bloop uses screenshot image files locally for previews, thumbnails, and text recognition. In the launch design, Bloop does not upload screenshot image files to Bloop's analysis server.
Local OCR and sorting
Bloop scans readable screenshot text and sorts it locally. Screenshot content is not sent to Bloop, an analysis provider, or an analysis server, and processing continues without an internet connection.
Operational records avoid screenshot content
Bloop does not use an analysis server for screenshot processing. Apple handles subscription purchases and restoration; the app stores only the local trial date and cached entitlement needed to control access.
Permissions are tied to features
- Photos access helps Bloop find screenshots, show previews, and scan text locally.
- Calendar access is used when the user saves a calendar action.
- Reminders access is used when the user saves a reminder action.
- Notifications are used for processing completion alerts and opt-in reminders.
Safety means editable actions
Automated local suggestions can be wrong. Calendar and reminder actions should stay easy to check, edit, or undo after Bloop creates them, especially when dates, times, locations, links, or sensitive details are involved.
Bloop is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional judgment. Users should review important screenshots involving money, health, legal issues, travel, or private messages before relying on an action.

New installs include 30 days of free use. Afterward, a monthly or yearly App Store subscription unlocks the same local processing, with no credits or per-screenshot charges.
